Have you been wanting to make a change but haven’t been able to see it through?
Whether you’re trying to build a new business, lose weight, or start a new morning routine, any change can be so difficult!
But why is it so difficult? Here’s why change is so hard:
The 1% of you is going against 99% of you.
The part of you that wants to change is an idea but the part of you that has to change is the habit part of you (the 99% of you). The “habit you” has been in existence for years, decades, and more, so how is this 1% of you going to beat the 99% of you?
How do you create lasting change when you’ve always done things a certain way?
In this video, I share the 3 questions to ask yourself to make change easier.

This friction or tension between the 2 parts of you gets exhausting and often the “habit you” wins in this fight and your idea goes out the door.
No wonder so many people quit after 2 weeks or 2 months.
As a leadership coach, I see this with my clients all the time. They are excited about their new venture until this friction sets in and they don’t know how to handle it so they give up.
Change is an uphill battle.
Change is UNCOMFORTABLE.
But I’m here to make it a tiny bit easier for you by telling you where to start when it comes to change.
The only way for change to work is with BABY STEPS.
I want to introduce you to the 4Cs taught by Dan Sullivan that has helped me immensely with the baby steps required.
Here is a breakdown of the 4Cs:
Commitment -> Courage -> Capability -> Confidence
The first place to start with any change is COMMITMENT.
Once you are committed, it’s required for you to have COURAGE to take the steps.
As you take the steps, you will build CAPABILITY, that you are ABLE to do this.
As you build the ability to do it, you will build CONFIDENCE and believe you can actually DO this.
This simple process can be repeated again and again with any change you want to make in your life.
The first place you start is COMMITMENT.
Here are 3 questions to ask yourself to make change easier:
Question 1: What am I committing to and why?
With so many competing priorities in our lives, it’s important to be clear about the commitment you’re making to yourself. This commitment will bring it to the forefront of your brain rather in the background noise. Knowing WHY you’re committed to this, will be the reason you show up even if you’re not in the mood. Without your WHY, your “habit you” will SURE win.
Question 2: How committed am I from 1-100?
With 100 being fully committed and all in, how committed are you to this change you want to bring in your life? This number may surprise and humble you. You may realize exactly why you haven’t been able to make this change once this number comes up. And do yourself a favor and don’t lie to yourself. Tell the truth at how committed you really are… because the results will show for itself. And results don’t lie my friends.
Question 3: What would make my commitment 100?
Now that you are clear at where your commitment level is, ask yourself what would make it 100? It would also be helpful to explore why it hasn’t been 100. Make the necessary adjustments in your brain about your commitment level if this change is something you really want to experience in your life. This right here can shift everything.
So fascinating and helpful right?
People always ask me how I have created so much change in my life in the last 5 years. This was the first step: Commitment.
I hope this has been helpful for you.
